Jeff Clark's Hockey Concepts
BODY CHECKING CLINIC
Where: Lake Ave. Buffone Arena Worcester, MA
When: Sunday May 18th 12noon - 3pm
Skills: This program consists of 40 minutes of class room, 20 minutes of locker room time and 1 hour and 50 minutes of on-ice instruction. This clinic not only developes effective body checking techniques, but more importantly teaches safety while building confidence. To assure the safety of all of our students, all checking will be done with the use of football style "Push-Backs." This program can NOT be missed.

We will be holding our annual meeting on Sunday May 18,2008 from 6p-9p at Floral Street School. All members are highly encouraged to attend this meeting. We have many important decisions to discuss and vote on which will impact next season. Your input is valuable!!! We will be holding elections for new members to the board of directors. This is a time for you to get involved with the day to day operations of our organization. You will work with a great group to move our organization forward and make it better for all. | | PeeWee 3 Captures NYHL Title | | | | |

The PeeWee 3 team captured the NYHL title Sunday 4-13 in a thrilling overtime victory over Triboro 3-2. Shrewsbury struggled through the first period and seemed to be constantly playing with a man down. A penalty shot by Triboro put them up 1-0 at the end of the first. Shrewsbury finally got on the board when Joe Fitzpatrick poked in the puck on a scramble in front of the net. Triboro answered back and at the end of 2 it was 2-1 Triboro. Shrewsbury dug in its heals and played great hockey for the third period. The game was tied up on a goal by Mike Abbott late in the third. Triboro threatened with two minutes to go but Tim Powell made a great save to keep the game a tie. The overtime period was dominated by Shrewsbury, but they could not find the net until Andrew Lazzon poked in a rebound from a shot by Josh Halliday. It was a thrilling end to a great season! |
