We have blocked off rooms at the Doubletree Hotel at 5400 Computer Drive Westboro. It is right off the junction of Route 9 and 495 and is very easy to get to. The hotel is only about 2 miles to the rink, so it is very convenient. The hotel offers a lot of amenities such restaurant and bar, pool, fitness center and more. Details and directions are included in your packet. If you plan to stay overnight—call soon as the rooms are going fast. Please tell them that you are with Shrewsbury/Mass Hockey to get the special rate.
Games will be played according to Mass Hockey rules. Two referees will be assigned by Mass hockey for each game. You are assigned to one of three divisions:  TBD

You will play 3 games within your division. Each game will have three 12 minute periods.   Each team will play eachother once in a round robin.   Winners receive 2 points, a tie will receive 1 point and a loss 0 points. The division winners plus the second place team with the best record shall advance to the semifinals. In case of a tie division winners will be determined by the following tie-breaking formulas:
1. The results of the games played between the teams tied in the following order:
a.      The points acquired in these games
b.       Least goals against
c.        Divinding the goals scored in these games by the ogals scored against (GF divided by GA) the position being determined in order of the greatest quotient. A quotient involving dividing by zero (0) has higher standing than a quotient dividing by any number other than zero(0). Where two or more teams have no goals against and the quotient tie breaker is required, the teams shall be ranked high to low in descending order of goals for.
2. If after applying the formulas of 1a,b, andc the tie still exists1b and 1c shall be applied using all games played by the teams tied. The formulas shall be appled in the order1a, b, c, and 2.
3. If the above procedure does not break the tie, then their position will be determined by the number of penalty minutes assessed in all games they played. Their position being determined in order of the least penalty minutes.
4. In case of a tie during the semifinals and finals, sudden death play will ensue following a 3 minute rest period.
WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE ARRIVE 45 MINUTES TO ONE HOUR PRIOR TO GAME START IN ORDER TO CHECK IN and GET THE KEY TO YOUR LOCKER ROOM. YOU WILL PROCEED UPSTAIRS TO THE CONFERENCE ROOM TO CHECK IN. ALL COACHES SHOULD HAVE THEIR CEP CARDS WITH THEM. PLAYERS AND COACHES WILL NEED TO SIGN IN PRIOR TO EACH GAME.
We know that this is an exciting time for players, coaches, and family members. Since there are no dividing bleacher seats and families from opposing teams are seated next to eachother (especially rink B) we ask that you refrain from using bells, whistles, and other noisemakers. These noisemakers have been known to cause problems which we would like to avoid. Good behavior and good sportsmanship are essential to the enjoyment of the game.   People behaving badly will be asked to leave the premises. Code of Conduct rules apply to everyone.

Once your game is over, we ask that you vacate the locker room in a timely manner so that other teams can use it.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: HAVE FUN!!!!!
